Yangaroo and OMT integate iMediaTouch and DMDS

TORONTO – Digital media distribution company Yangaroo Inc. has integrated its Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) with the iMediaTouch Radio Automation Software from OMT Inc. to allow iMediaTouch users at over 1,500 radio stations in the U.S. to import new music available through DMDS directly into their iMediaTouch music library.

New music is imported with cart chunk track information and album artwork using the iMediaImport module.

Yangaroo’s DMDS is a web-based delivery system available free to the radio industry that replaces the physical distribution of music. It allows radio stations throughout North America to receive broadcast-quality music and promotional materials digitally and securely from independent and major record labels.

“DMDS’ integration with iMediaTouch will further streamline the process of getting new music from record labels and artists to airplay,” said Yangaroo President and CEO John Heaven. “It will provide stations with the most up-to-date information on the music directly in their libraries and seamlessly provide images and meta-data for display with their web radio services.”

“Integrating iMediaTouch with Yangaroo’s DMDS service was an important initiative for our customers,” said Marieke Wijtkamp, president and COO of OMT. “DMDS provides a simple and effective way for radio stations to keep their music library current and accurate.”
