TORONTO – CTV brands and their content will be front and centre on – and exclusive to – Bell Mobility.
Mobility clients can now access new CTV made-for-mobile channels with Bell Live TV, and choose from a new, expanded video clip catalogue.
Through the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, CTV brands including MuchMusic, MTV, TSN, The Comedy Network, FashionTelevision Channel, etalk, CTV Newsnet, BNN and RDS, are now available to Bell Mobility subscribers with video enabled mobile phones.
"As mobile devices continue to grow in popularity, CTV is making sure we provide Canadians with the most up-to-date and in demand content. This deal delivers on our promise that consumers can access our programming across multiple platforms, and reaffirms CTV’s commitment to providing Canadians with what they want, when they want it,” said Stephan Argent, vice-president, CTV Digital Media Group, in the press release.
"CTV joins a growing roster of mobile TV and video services, including a broad selection of news, weather, entertainment, sports channels, that take full advantage of our high-speed mobile data service,” added Adel Bazerghi, senior vice-president of products at Bell Mobility, in the same release.
Included in the new offering are streaming video clips available on demand from five CTV channels – MuchMusic (interviews and original programming), TSN and RDS (sports highlights and talk shows), etalk (celeb news) and The Comedy Network (comedy clips). These channels join several previously available CTV channels (like CTV Newsnet, and BNN) offering mobile video content.
In addition, made-for-mobile, linear versions of MuchMusic, MTV, The Comedy Network and FashionTelevision Channel are now available on Bell’s Live TV service.
