APTN's Lavigne upped to HR director

WINNIPEG – Mary Lavigne has been named as director of human resources at The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), effective July 1. A Metis from Winnipeg, Lavigne has been the channel’s manager of labour relations since 2006. Prior to that, she worked in human resources in the private and not-for-profit sector including at Pitblado LLP and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. While at Pitblado, she implemented the PAR (Progressive Aboriginal Relations) program, designed to help organizations improve their commitment to Aboriginal issues in the workplace.
