TORONTO – Bell Mobility announced Wednesday the launch of Mobile email, a push email service for smartphones that operate on Microsoft Windows Mobile devices.
These devices include the HTC Touch, 5800, 6800, Motorola Q, Palm 700wx and select Bell Mobility phones. The service also offers full personal information management capabilities such as calendar, contacts, tasks and notes. Customers can use the email provider of their choice with the service.
“Our new Mobile email service delivers a rich and robust email experience that’s comparable in functionality to that of a desktop email service,” said Adel Bazerghi, VP of products at Bell Mobility.
The service also includes advanced security tools, including the ability to delete or lock remotely all personal information on the device if it is lost or stolen.
Mobile email is included with any data rate plan for smartphones, which generally start at $15 per month.
