TORONTO and PLAINVIEW, NY – Web TV company JumpTV saw a 95% increase in year over year revenue for their third quarter, but still reported a net loss, the company announced this week.
Revenue was $3.9 million US for the quarter compared to $2 million in the same period in 2007, however, the net loss for the three months ended September 30, 2008 was $11.9 million, including a $4.7 million non-cash impairment charge, the press release said.
JumpTV last month announced a merger with NeuLion Inc., another player in the IPTV industry. The combined company intends to unite behind the NeuLion name, while retaining the JumpTV and JumpTV Sports brands.
