Vacuum cleaner company turns to etc.tv

MONTREAL – Dyson, the company that manufactures the Dyson Cyclone bagless vacuum cleaner, recently launched an advertising campaign on the etc.tv. advertising on demand network.

With the telescopic advertising system, digital cable TV subscribers can link from traditional, linear 30-second network TV ads to longer videos highlighting Dyson’s line of products.

“We see etc.tv telescoping functionality perfectly suited for consumers interested in our product line to drill down, beyond the 30-second ad…,” said Dyson Canada president Andrew Robinson.

The Dyson campaign will air throughout the spring on the etc.tv telescopic advertising service, which is currently available to more than 1.8 million digital TV subscribers in Canada, according to the etc.tv.

Etc.tv.inc VP and general manager Ian MacLean noted in a media release that etc.tv plans to expand its service throughout Canada, and in the United States, through 2008.
