680News launches new website

TORONTO – 680News has launched its new website at 680news.com designed to provide listeners with more content, easier navigation and personalized traffic reports.

“680news.com is one of the most visited websites of any radio station in Canada, “says 680News vice-president and general manager John Hinnen.

“The new site will provide visitors with access to all 169 MTO cameras between Burlington and Oshawa. Listeners can cycle through the cameras, click on the ones that look at their routes and then they can add them to their favourites. This will give them a chance to look at their own routes before heading out. It’s as if they’ll have their own personalized traffic reports!”

Listeners will also have access to various weather modules, including global satellite images.

Adam Kaftalovich, director, online operations and content, Rogers Digital Media, adds, “The new 680News site was built to set the standard for radio news properties in Canada. We’ve taken the core competencies of the station and brought it to the forefront to ensure users have immediate access to the daily information they need to get around their city. With enhanced verticals, expanded audio and video content and integration with our sister brands from Rogers Consumer Publishing, we will be able to offer a wider breadth of information and advertising opportunities to 680’s listener base.”
