TORONTO – It’s meant to be a short episode that ties season two and three together, and it’s available only on-line.
In the original Rescue Me webisode entitled Heroes, the guys of New York City’s Truck Company 62 are set to receive recognition for their bravery after a particularly perilous fire. Looks like Canadian broadcasters can show American content online after all. Alliance Atlantis’ Showcase airs the FX series in Canada.
The 14-minute episode shows how the night before the awards ceremony, the men discover a "monster" in the firehouse. Between the screaming, fainting, hiding and panicking, their behavior is anything but heroic. Tommy Gavin (Denis Leary) and the rest of the crew let their imaginations get the best of them as they come face-to-face with their greatest fears – the dark, bugs, blood and confined spaces.
