CALGARY – Star Choice has added American Movie Classics to its line-up, which now stands at more than 420 channels.
AMC is a 24-hour network devoted to the movie fan, with a comprehensive library of popular movies and original series, documentaries, and specials. AMC has won 14 Emmy awards.
AMC will be available as a freeview until Nov. 30, when it becomes part of Star Choice’s Movies bundle at no extra cost. It’s on channel 609 for customers in Ontario and east, and on channel 629 for customers in Manitoba and west.
In the last two years, the DTH service has added more than 25 channels. “In the past few months, we’ve added terrific new channels such as Turner Classic Movies, The Fight Network, NFL Network, Prise 2, Cinepop, and several new HD services,” said Jim Cummins, Vice-President of National Operations for Star Choice. “Our objective in launching these channels and focusing on delivering great customer service is to add value for our customers and to demonstrate that we are truly dedicated to providing them with the country’s best digital television experience.”
Star Choice has more than 865,000 customers.
