CALGARY – "Every 96 seconds we are installing a new Shaw Digital Phone customer," said Peter Bissonnette, president of Shaw Communications, in kicking off the company’s fall marketing campaign pushing its new telephony service even harder.
Shaw is attacking in most of its major markets, including Winnipeg where MTS has taken thousands of Shaw Cable customers who chose to go with MTS TV.
Shaw’s Digital Phone service includes unlimited calls to Canada and the U.S., 1000 international calling minutes per month to Europe, the U.K., and Asia Pacific, as well as six calling features, all for one flat monthly rate (the introductory price is $29.95 for the first three months). Shaw’s Digital Phone network is completing over three million calls per day and "Since we began including 1000 minutes of international calling in our monthly flat rate package, our customers have recognized the increased value of our "all-in" service," said Bissonette. "This is evident by the usage of almost 10 million minutes of overseas calling our customers have enjoyed at no charge in the last few months.
Exclusive to this fall campaign, Shaw Digital Phone will also be promoted at college and university campuses throughout Western Canada. Students will be able to take advantage of Shaw’s flat monthly rate to stay connected with family and friends throughout the school year.
