Corus execs get new business cards


TORONTO – As an addendum to last week’s Corus Entertainment restructuring, a number of existing senior folks now have new jobs.

Phil Piazza is now vice-president programming and business development, Corus Kids. Piazza will add business development for YTV, Treehouse and Discovery Kids to his programming role for each of the networks. Previously he was VP programming, Children’s TV.

Jocelyn Hamilton has been named VP creative, Corus Kids. In this new role, Hamilton will provide overall creative management for the broadcast nets (YTV, Treehouse, and Discovery Kids) and for Nelvana Studios. Hamilton was previously VP creative production for Nelvana.

Irene Weibel becomes VP international, Corus Kids. She will divide her time between Los Angeles and Toronto and be responsible for the international side of the newly integrated broadcaster/studio, handling U.S. and international development relationships and co-productions. Weibel had previously been VP development for Nelvana.

Helen Lebeau is now VP studio operations, Corus Kids. Lebeau will manage the operations of the Nelvana Studio, including all production crews and post production services. Previously she was director, audio and video post for Nelvana Limited.
