OTTAWA – Another sign today that BCE Inc. is going ahead with stated plans to make Telesat public.
Telesat Holding Inc. has filed a preliminary prospectus and a registration statement with securities commissions for an initial public offering of non-voting shares in Canada and the United States.
Before completing the offering, Telesat will incur certain indebtedness that will be distributed to its shareholder, BCE Inc., along with the net proceeds of the offering.
The offering will be underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters led by Goldman, Sachs & Co., Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking and RBC Capital Markets, which will act as joint book-running managers for the offering.
The U.S. preliminary prospectus is available from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, while the Canadian preliminary prospectus is available from the Canadian Securities Administrators.
Upon closing of the offering, Telesat Holding Inc. will be the parent company of Telesat, the Ottawa-based satellite service provider.
