TORONTO – Asian Television Network has reached an agreement with Star India Plus to air its programming as the exclusive rightsholder in Canada.
According to ATN, Star India Plus is India’s top channel for six years in a row, watched by more than 75 million people each week. The channel is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.
“We do not ever take our viewers for granted and for program quality and excellence, Sky is the limit,” said Shan Chandrasekar, President and CEO of ATN. “We are ecstatic and proud as we look forward to the launching of Star India Plus programming on our ATN Channel next month. The launch is planned to coincide with the festivities of Diwali and Eid.”
ATN operates 13 channels, including the main ATN Channel, airing programming in several South Asian languages.
