MISSISSAUGA – Vonage Canada’s Internet phone service will be sold through Office Depot in a deal announced today.
Office Depot will offer the Vonage VOIP start-up kit at more than 30 stores across Canada, and online through its Web site.
“When combined with our existing retail channel, Vonage is now available at more than 1,030 retail outlets across Canada, the widest retail distribution of any provider of Internet phone service,” says Joe Parent, vice president, marketing and business development, Vonage Canada.
Customers can choose phone numbers in area codes from more than 24 communities in six provinces, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax. Additional area codes are available from any area in the U.S. served by Vonage.
The service is portable, allowing travellers to plug their Vonage adapter into a high-speed Internet connection and make and receive calls as if they were at home.
Customers choose from among various packages, ranging from $19.99 to $69.99 a month, which include features such as voicemail and call forwarding.
