640 adds Adler

TORONTO – Charles Adler’s syndicated radio show has found a home in Toronto.

Corus Radio Toronto announced today that AM 640 Toronto will air Adler weekdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

Since leaving the radio scene in Toronto seven years ago, Adler (right) has become a nationally syndicated radio talk show host (spending time on radio and TV in Canada and the U.S.).

“His often controversial look at the day’s big issues has generated the growth of ‘The Adler Nation’ in major radio markets across Canada including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, London, Hamilton and Montreal,” says the press release.

“Adler’s show is smarter and faster than any nationally based talk radio show that I have ever heard,” says AM640 Toronto program director, Gord Harris. “Toronto listeners are really in for a treat. Adler is on the cutting edge of everything that matters to Canadians.”

“It feels great to be heard again in the city that gave me so many memories for the 10 years that I lived here,” said Adler, who is in town this week anchoring the show from the 640 studios. “I hope Toronto listeners will enjoy what I have to offer the way they did when I was behind the microphone in this city seven years ago.”

Adler was with Standard Broadcasting’s CFRB during his last stint in Hogtown.
