TORONTO – Bell Canada today announced the upcoming launch of its newest receiver, a dual-tuner high definition personal video recorder.
It will record and pause live TV, whether standard or high definition, while allowing customers to watch another channel.
The 9200 Dual Tuner High Definition Personal Video Recorder (HD PVR) will be available across Canada in early July.
"Bell is making it simple for the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who either own or plan to buy a High Definition television to enjoy the ultimate viewing experience," said Gary Smith, president, Bell ExpressVu.
The 9200 HD PVR Plus will be available across Canada for a purchase price of $599, or on a rental basis for $25 per month. In addition to the features described above, the receiver lets customers:
* Record up to 180 hours of SD or 25 of hours HD programming;
* Record up to three HD programs while watching two playback events at the same time;
* Manipulate the size and location of the Picture-In-Picture (PIP) feature, even with a non-PIP television;
* Navigate channels and schedule viewing or recording times for upcoming shows with an advanced on-screen guide offering up to three hours of programming per page.
