CHUM Radio and Corus Radio are also offering podcasts to its listeners via its web sites (CHUM has bites – or bytes – of Roger, Rick and Marilyn, Corus has The Ongoing History of New Music and Legends of Classic Rock).
CBC Radio listeners will be able to grab up-to-date local stories and information from Toronto’s No. 1 morning show according to their own schedule by visiting the Metro Morning site at http://www.cbc.ca/metromorning/index_pod.html.
"We’re absolutely delighted to bring people the best of Metro Morning, which they can listen to as they wish, during their busy day," said Susan Marjetti, CBC Radio regional director in Toronto. "We know that in this demanding world, our listeners don’t always have time in the morning to catch the top stories of the day. By making the best moments of Metro Morning part of our new podcasting service, we’re able to make our radio programming more portable and more user friendly."
The latest move allows Metro Morning to join CBC Radio’s Quirks and Quarks, Todd Maffin’s Nerd and CBC Radio 3 podcast-programs and content that eager listeners can access any time, day or night.
Podcasting is an easy way for people to get up-to-date audio files delivered to their desktops or personal digital devices.
