99.3 County FM announces first permanent GM

PICTON, ON – Newly launched community radio station 99.3 County FM has named Deb Simpson as its first permanent general manager.

Simpson, pictured, has been an integral part of the station's start-up and, while new to radio, she is an experienced and effective manager, marketer and administrator as well as a resident of Prince Edward County, reads the announcement.  She will become permanent GM effective March 1, 2015 after a month of training with interim GM Jim JJ Johnston.

“Having worked with Deb over the past 14 months, I am amazed at how quickly she has picked up this business and I’m confident in her ability to keep this going”, Johnston said in the announcement.  “I hope all our members will attend the AGM to celebrate our success to date.”

Simpson will be introduced to the membership at the 2015 Annual General Meeting which will be held January 28 at 7:00 PM at the Wellington Community Centre.
