TORONTO – The WIFT International Summit, running from July 16-19, 2007 at the Park Hyatt in Toronto, will feature about 80 industry leaders participating in more than 50 panels and workshops.
Commissioning editors, broadcast executives and key media professionals from around the world will take part, including SUN TV general manager of programming Don Gaudet, CHUM vice-president of production Marcia Martin, Hutton-Belleville Inc. president Trina McQueen, Epitome Pictures Inc. CEO Linda Schuyler, MTV Networks (U.S.) senior vice-president of business and legal affairs Elizabeth Skoler and CanWest MediaWorks Inc. senior vice-president of programming and production Barbara Williams.
The panels will cover such topics as convergence, the business model of plugging into the multiplatform, worldwide trends in television lifestyle and documentary, film and TV co-productions with Canada, pitching your film and TV project, and worldwide trends in film and TV drama and comedy.
About 600 delegates from around the world are expected at the 2007 WIFT International Summit, hosted by Women in Film and Television – Toronto.
