$37M going to connect thousands of homes in Saskatchewan

REGINA – Innovation Canada announced Friday that $37 million is going toward broadband and mobile wireless connectivity across Saskatchewan. The funding will go toward providing connectivity to more than 5,000 homes in the north of the province, Prince Albert, Saskatoon-Biggar, Regina-Moose Mountain and Yorkton-Melville, as well as 2,700 homes in indigenous communities. Mobile connectivity will run along 500 kilometres of highway. The funding is courtesy of the $3.225-billion Universal Broadband Fund.
