
MONTREAL — With professional sports leagues around the world taking a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Bell Media’s RDS is launching a new weekly sports program called Le sport en crise (Sport in Crisis) that will see host François-Etienne Corbin and various RDS experts discuss the most recent developments in the world of sport. The half-hour program will air every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
The show’s expert participants will include Marc Denis and Benoit Brunet (hockey), Michel Lacroix (golf), Marc Griffin (baseball) and Matthieu Proulx (football).
RDS also announced Monday the hosts of Le 5 à 7 (The 5 to 7), Max & Bruno and Blitz will return to air this week, broadcasting from their homes as they comply with physical distancing rules.
Frédéric Plante and Yanick Bouchard are officially back on air for a one-hour Le 5 à 7 show, airing Monday to Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Supported by the show’s team of regular collaborators, Plante and Bouchard will comment on current events in the sports world.
Max & Bruno hosts Maxime Talbot and Bruno Gervais are back on RDS on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. This week they will be chatting with Derick Brassard of the New York Islanders, in addition to sharing their experience and knowledge with fans by discussing hot topics in the hockey world. The show will then be available as a podcast on major digital listening platforms, including iTunes, Spotify and the RDS app.
Broadcasting from their respective homes, the experts of the Blitz football magazine program will be back on RDS this Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. For 30 minutes, Matthieu Proulx, Pierre Vercheval, Bruno Heppell and Didier Orméjuste will comment on current events in the world of football and analyze the most recent personnel movements in the NFL. As a reminder to football fans, RDS will present the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday, April 23 at 8 p.m. ET.
With the cancellation of the 2020 Masters Tournament which should have been held this week, RDS and TSN are trying to fill the void by inviting golf enthusiasts to relive some of the most spectacular moments from Masters Tournaments presented over the last 20 years.
