$3.6 million to fund rural broadband in four Georgian Bay communities

PARRY SOUND Ont. – On Friday, the federal government announced it would give $2.2 million to Bell Canada to bring new or improved high-speed Internet to Moose Deer Point First Nation, Dillon, Snug Harbour and Killbear Park, Ontario, all of which are near or on the eastern shore of Georgian Bay.In addition to the investment from the government’s Connect to Innovate program, Bell Canada is contributing $1.4 million, for a total investment of $3.6 million.Click here for more.Photo of Killbear Provincial Park borrowed from its Twitter feed.
