Barbara, from Iqaluit, Nunavut, designs jewellery to share her love of the land with women across the country. Fast, reliable internet allows her to connect with more than she ever thought possible.
Although most Canadian have access to high-speed Internet, the service remains unavailable across parts of the sparsely populated North. Barbara's story is part of Huawei Canada's three commissioned short films that profile northern residents – each of whom relies on Internet access to develop and promote their small businesses.
These three films were shot on location in Iqaluit and Inuvik, using a Huawei P30 Pro smartphone.
