LOS ANGELES – The Canadian Film Centre (CFC) is partnering with NBC Universal on a new initiative designed to give Canadian content creators assistance and mentoring with projects aimed at international audiences.
Called the NBC Universal Content Creator Program, it’s goal is to attract top Canadian talent early in their careers and offer access to NBC’s international resources and roster of executives and producers.
"This unique partnership will address changes in our business and will provide a hothouse environment for Canadian talent to access, collaborate with, and benefit from the expertise within the NBC Universal family”, said Slawko Klymkiw, CFC’s executive director, in an announcement. “This new program supports CFC’s goal of providing unparalleled cross-border relationship building and exposure for Canadian talent and our alumni to excel in the global marketplace.”
The program will be launched in the Fall of 2009.
