MTS gets city contract

WINNIPEG - The City of Winnipeg has announced a home-town telecom choice. The municipality has chosen MTS Allstream for its communications needs, approving a 28 month contract to provide wireless services, says a press release. Through the deal, MTS Allstream will provide the city and its employees with access to cell phones, wireless PC cards, BlackBerry handheld devices, cellular and wireless data airtime and related features.
