About the Role:
Global Regina is seeking a full-time Writer/Producer. Reporting to the Executive Producer, you will work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends, when necessary.

Responsibilities:
·Write news content for a variety of news programs
·Work closely with our production crew to produce compelling newscasts
·Produce, write and post content for online, including social media
·Work with field crews to ensure the best possible content goes to air
·Identify and co-ordinate guest bookings for Global News programs
·Display creativity in the use of production graphics and other visual elements
·Make quick decisions when it comes to news judgement
·Keep current with local/national news
·Present stories with a high degree of competence and clarity
·Identify, source, and create stories of key interest to news audiences province-wide
·Communicate effectively with other markets to facilitate requests and interviews
·Available to work a variety of shifts in producing roles
·Possess comprehensive social media and online skills
·Perform other duties as required

What We Need From You:
·Applicants should have a degree or diploma in journalism/broadcast television in addition to two years’ experience producing television newscasts
·Applicants must have strong writing and organizational skills and be able to work well under pressure
·The successful applicant will be a proven leader that can work cooperatively with others in a teamwork setting
·Positive attitude
·Valid Drivers’ licence
