Position: Writer, News CP24
Location: 299 Queen St. W, Toronto
Salary: Group F – Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, including weekends, plus overtime as needed

Responsible for writing news stories, headlines and banners for television
Working with producers, assignment editors, reporters and anchors on stories
Other duties as assigned
Minimum 2 years experience writing for broadcast
A degree/diploma in Television Broadcasting or Journalism is preferred
Strong editorial news judgment
Working on complex stories and live breaking news
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience working in a live news environment is required
Knowledge of iNews would be an asset
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
