As part of the SmartCore in Network, we are enablers of our DevOps organization transformation by providing software practices & common tools so teams can deliver software faster and more reliable. We like to innovate by using the latest technologies and lead practices where our organization is composed of developers, network engineers, infrastructure administrators and much more. Our ultimate goal is to change software development culture at Bell where open project mindset should come first to enable code re-use and common projects.

We are seeking for an innovation agent in Software Development that will be working with our software developer community to establish the foundation for code re-usability. Your work will be pivotal to our transformation in build a trusting and open environment for sharing and problem solving within our developer community. You will play a critical role in facilitating and shaping software practices to ensure teams will adopt them and remain engage after its promotion. You will be assisting community leads in addressing barriers that may prevent adoption of practices.

Our software development is rich in experience and is growing at a fast pace. You will be working with other Software practitioner where we expect our teams to make key decision and take ownership over their projects. We highly encourage collaboration with our software development’s teams across all projects which is why this role is key to our transformation.

Key responsibilities:
Understand software development approaches and support teams on methods to improve software delivery to ensure baseline performance objectives are met
Identify, develop and document software development capabilities and roadmap for team adoption.
Coach software development community lead on becoming SoftDev champions and developing lasting software development practices.
Support software development community by facilitating and evangelizing on lead practices at Bell and assisting in launch of common projects.
Set partnership model to enhance our capabilities and accelerate team’s adoption.
Continuous exploration of emerging practices with focus on DevOps ecosystem and software development practices

Required qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with a good sense of humour
Your particular background with a specific technology stack isn’t as important as an overall ability to understand how we use these technologies and why decisions are made
Experience in software development practices (Architecture, DevOps, Testing, CI/CD, Agile)
Experience in DevOps and Software Delivery work methods to produce viable systems that meet software teams improvement objectives
Possesses the willingness and mindset to dive into technologies or methodologies they’re not familiar with to understand and leverage their benefits for the Bell teams
Natural leader of people, who understands the needs of the individual and adjust based on team mission and operational goals.
Bilingual French and English an asset


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
