The Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Bell, ensuring the needs of customers, investors and employees are balanced with long-term business success. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability.

The BCE Tax Group is responsible for managing all of the tax affairs of the BCE/Bell group of companies, including income, sales and utility taxes. The BCE Tax Group also participates in special projects involving Legal, Treasury, M&A and Operations.

Job Duties / Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the following:

Review of the monthly, quarterly and year-end tax provision of Canadian corporations;

Preparation of annual true-up entries for Canadian corporations;

Preparation and documentation of corporate tax returns and other tax documents for Canadian corporations;

Perform research on tax issues and prepare/review memos in support of tax positions;

Manage the monthly tax installments for Canadian corporations;

Responsible of government audits for Canadian corporations, including answering queries and drafting memos in support of tax positions;

Responsible for monthly and annual budget, long term plan and cash taxes forecast of Canadian corporations;

Assist the Tax Director in special projects, as required.

Minimum knowledge or experience:

University degree with professional accounting designation or lawyer with strong accounting skills;
Master’s Degree in tax or CICA In-Depth’s tax course completed (or equivalent);
Minimum of 5 years corporate tax experience;
Strong tax accounting knowledge;
Solid organizational, managerial, and interpersonal skills;
Computer literate (Microsoft office, Taxprep).

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
