Senior Program Manager (Business Systems) – Telus

Reporting to the Manager – Business Systems, Strategy & Roadmap you will be responsible overseeing the execution, control, and governance of our B2B Systems capabilities portfolio (focus IT Service Management / ServiceNow).

You’ll use your stellar relationship-building and program management skills to partner with leaders and stakeholders across TELUS.You’ll lead planning and execution efforts to drive the most critical ITSM projects and programs in support of our strategic systems roadmap. With the support of our leaders and sponsors, you will help amplify and accelerate initiatives that will enable us to realize the digital transformation opportunity ahead of us.

Our key mandate is to represent the Business stakeholders as trusted unbiased shepherds of our Business Systems strategy. You will facilitate the delivery of these strategies through portfolio planning, execution, control, and governance. You will ensure expected outcomes are established and achieved within approved parameters and that all stakeholders are informed on progress, requirements, and challenges within the overall program.

You can expect to roll up your sleeves and work side by side with our leaders and project teams towards a shared goal. In any given week you can expect to work and collaborate on a diverse set of projects – from augmenting commercial outcomes, to driving digital transformation to automation and efficiency initiatives.

Your ideal profile includes
Business Acumen: 5 years+ experience in transformative program/project/portfolio management and/or leading strategic IT programs
Problem Solving: Wide ranging experience to assess and resolve complex issues in strategic, creative and effective ways, proactively identify when necessary, to take certain steps and move ahead with confidence
Relationship Building: Demonstrated experience working with senior leadership with ability to create executive-quality materials (decks, briefs, etc.); ability to build trust with key stakeholders and develop strong networks of expertise; advanced ability to influence and motivate people outside of an authority relationship
Education: Post-secondary degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience
PMP Certification or equivalent
Agile Certification – asset
