Northwestel is seeking a temporary, full-time Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications for ten (10) months (March – December 2021) to lead a team in the development, implementation and analysis of marketing, communications and public relations campaigns. The incumbent manages a creative services team (3) and an Account Management team (3). The team supports the residential marketing, business marketing and corporate communications functions of Northwestel.
Lead, engage, coach and develop the team of marketing and communications professionals This also includes the full performance management cycle including annual goals and competency development.
Manage the overall brand and visual identity of the organization.
Provide leadership and direction in the activities of research, development, and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns.
Effectively build bridges and involve internal Northwestel resources and departments (e.g., operations, sales, engineering, customer services, marketing), as may be required to support effective communications.
Actively lead and contribute to the overall communications and marketing planning cycle.
Campaign Execution: work cross-functionally with Product Management on Offer and Pricing, customer intelligence, Channels and Marketing Communications teams to bring campaigns to market.
Establish the marketing and communications team as a trusted centre of excellence in customer and stakeholder experiences.
Manager the relationship with creative and advertising agencies.
Develop, own and maintain a strong sense of market knowledge, customer knowledge and competitive knowledge. Establish a methodology/program that engages the company in this process and creates knowledge transfer to maximize decision making at all levels.
Campaign Analysis: lead weekly, ad hoc and post mortem campaign results analysis.
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
University degree in related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing or communications.
Minimum 3 years staff management experience, strategic thinking and creative problem solving.
Analytical skills, including the ability to quantify and analyze customer data and financial results.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills – the ability to build and foster teams and deliver against a common objective.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple people and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation.
Strong sense of autonomy and initiative.
Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Flexible and able to comfortably operate in an ever-evolving & changing market environment.
Knowledge of players in the telecommunications competitive landscape.
Previous experience with digital marketing strategy and communications.
Bilingual (French/English) an asset.
