We’re looking for a Part Time Satellite Operator within Sportsnet Operations to manage and support live sports acquisition and distribution across all media platforms.
What you will do:
Be part of a team that oversees Rogers largest sports and media distribution hub in Canada.
Carry out technical lineups from remote production sites globally.
Ensure the necessary equipment is available and assigned for broadcast service acquisitions over satellite and fibre.
Provide 24/7 support for BDUs, international distributors and streaming platforms.
Liaise with Master Control, Production and programming department for planning.
Troubleshoot on-air issues and provide detailed discrepancy reports.
Assist the engineering team to solve technical problems
Adhere to all broadcast policies & procedures.
What you will bring:
Excellent understanding of studio and remote broadcast production.
Good understanding of distribution paths for live media delivery.
Strong technical knowledge of television broadcast equipment.
Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced broadcast environment.
Familiarity of North American and European sports.
Experience with Arvato MAM systems.
