Roaming Specialist

The Roaming Specialist is prime interface for Eastlink with new and existing roaming partners and is accountable for overseeing various aspects related to Roaming Partner Management and Roaming Fraud. Responsible for administration, facilitation of process improvements and systems management, the Specialist will identify customer and revenue impacting issues and lead cross-function teams to resolve such issues. The Specialist will produce daily, weekly and monthly reports for stakeholders, enabling knowledge and business intelligence for all aspects of Wireless roaming.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the strategy and development of the Priority Partner list and driving new engagement from it.

  • Keep current on changes with Eastlink Wireless business model, partnerships, third party agreements, and product offers, subsidies, etc. which might impact the revenue cycle, as well as industry trends, risks and best practices.

  • Act as backup to other Roaming Analyst for their respective areas of responsibilities (TADIG, Retail testing and more).

  • Identify fraud issues by analyzing volumes of transaction and related quantitative data. Formulate hypothesis, collect both quantitative and qualitative data, design and perform data analysis, develop recommendation, and present findings to management.

  • Analyze existing fraud detection strategies and propose to modify or create new rules to generate cases and/or decline suspicious transactions / usage while balancing risk versus resource time.

    Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business, Computer Information Systems or University/Professional education in Telecommunication and associated experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of diversified experience with emphasis on Roaming areas of Business Controls, Billing, Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management.

  • Good understanding of existing Fraud types and the measures required to stop it and experience with implementing balance
    and checks to monitor and detect Fraud possible situations.

  • Strong understanding roaming standards, industry regulations and of pre and post launch roaming processes including:

    • International Roaming Agreement negotiations with a particular focus on IOT / Discounted IOT.

    • Roaming Fraud prevention.

    • TADIG Testing.

    • All aspects of interaction with DCH/FCH/ Datanet and NRTRDE vendor

    • TAP / RAP / NRTRDE flows.

    • RAP/ Billing Disputes Resolution.

    • Wholesale financial settlement process.

    • Roaming traffic reporting and reconciliation.
