As a reporter, you will write copy, edit audio and video, and produce thorough, fact-checked, dynamic and compelling news content that will be delivered across our digital platforms, in keeping with corporate standards and policies.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
Three (3) or more years’ journalism experience or equivalent, including at least two (2) years in print journalism
Extensive general knowledge
Excellent current-events knowledge
Superior French-language skills
Advanced oral proficiency, intermediate writing proficiency and advanced reading proficiency in English (CBC)
Proficiency with platform-specific communication techniques (TV, radio and digital) as well as interview techniques
Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices
Must possess a valid driver’s license as well as a driving record that meets the minimum requirements of CBC/Radio-Canada’s insurance company
