The Role

We are looking for a Regulatory Counsel to join our busy team. Acting under the direction and supervision of the VP, Regulatory & Carrier Affairs and other senior members of the Legal, Regulatory & Public Policy team, you will as needed:

-Lead and assist on certain of TekSavvy’s public proceedings conducted before organizations such as the CRTC, the Competition Bureau, and ISED, including drafting submissions and engaging internal teams and senior management to gather information and approvals.
-Assist senior counsel and outside litigators on litigation matters including those concerning regulatory/administrative decisions.
-Provide analysis on regulatory matters (eg. telecom/broadcasting).
-Assist on other legal, regulatory, government relations, and administrative matters.

Mandatory Requirements

-An LL.B. or J.D. and membership in a provincial Law Society in good standing
-At least 2+ years of relevant regulatory experience in telecommunications; 4+ years preferred
-Excellent written and spoken English
-Excellent organization and attention to detail
-A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
