Real Estate Management Advisor – Quebecor

Reporting to the Vice-President, Legal Affairs and working under the Senior Advisor and Team Leader, Real Property Management, the incumbent negotiates, drafts and manages contractual agreements related to the property portfolio of Quebecor Media, its divisions and subsidiaries.

A typical day

Actively participate in acquisition, disposal, relocation, consolidation and renewal strategies and in analysis of leased space and properties (land, offices, stores, industrial space, technical sites, etc.) ;
Negotiate, draft, review, comment on and/or analyze, as the case may be, documents related to real estate transactions and/or construction (leases, property purchases and sales, easements, rights of way, lease transfers and renewals, etc.) ;
Apply your legal and commercial expertise to leasing activities and defend the organization’s interests in dealings with landlords ;
Make recommendations to internal decision-makers ;
Prepare annual budget for leases under your responsibility ;
Ensure that billing is consistent with the agreed terms and monitor compliance with contractual commitments in existing leases ;
May be asked to provide support for due diligence.
We are looking for

Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in commercial real estate ;
Member in good standing of the Bar or Chambre des notaires ;
Skilled in negotiating and drafting clauses to be included in the terms and conditions of legal agreements ;
Strong communication skills, written and spoken ;
Business acumen, a creative strategic thinker ;
Strong interpersonal skills, client-focused ;
Well organized, thorough, able to manage priorities ;
Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines ;
Familiar with main lessors (an asset) ;
Adept at financial planning and analysis ;
Fluently bilingual, spoken and written.
