Our Customer Network Support team is responsible for key network operations functions including maintenance, repair, planning and support of our critical customer network, all focused around providing reliable service. We’re looking for a Frames Technician to join our team!
Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together
As a collaborative standout colleague to our service technicians, you will perform various tasks from our central offices related to provisioning voice and data orders. There will be daily opportunities to communicate and help your teammates in various TELUS offices throughout the city. You will be running and terminating jumpers in a Frame, remote or SAC box, working on copper and GPON systems and assisting technicians with queries and troubles. In this role, you will also lay groundwork for service orders related to rack work and troubleshoot as needed. You will utilize several systems to obtain order information, verify records and process order information. You will receive training for additional projects to support our expanding team responsibilities.
Please note: These are temporary ongoing opportunities; however, training will likely be full-time for the first 4 weeks. Your work shifts will then be scheduled Monday to Friday between 7am – 4pm. *That schedule may change to accommodate business needs.

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle with:
Your clean & valid AB Class 5 Driver’s License or other provincial equivalent. (A Driver’s Abstract will be requested)
You have a high school diploma with Math 11 completion or equivalent. (Transcripts and/or diplomas required)
Your ability to follow safe work practices and abide by all safety rules and regulations
You possess mechanical ability, personal computer navigational skills, are self-motivated, and work well with minimal or no direct supervision
You are fluent in English and have strong professional oral and written communications skills
You have the ability to effectively handle both favourable and unfavourable customer interactions
Your confirmed ability to identify problems and situations, take appropriate action, implement solutions or advance as required
You can work effectively in a harmonious team environment and collaboratively with other departments
You possess a knack for maintaining a high level of performance under the pressure of time constraints and a dynamic changing environment
Your attention to detail and proven ability in planning and organizing to meet scheduled deadlines
You’re able to meet applicable testing requirements
Great to have’s:
Related post-secondary education in telecommunication or meaningful field
Previous experience or knowledge of the provisioning process is a bonus
