The Promotional Pricing Manager, is responsible for the development and execution of promotional pricing for acquisition and/or the installed base. The successful candidate will connect into channel specific planning, build pricing proposals that connect to business targets for subscribers, revenue and spend while ensuring the strength of execution to deliver both short term and long-term business results. The person has a deep understanding of competitive dynamics, our business economics, and knows how to bring pricing to life across multiple channels.
What you will be doing:
Create promotional strategy to meet subscriber, revenue, cost, and profitability targets by analyzing customer-based data, financial data, demand trends, and industry dynamics.
Recommend responses to competitors’ pricing strategies based on thoughtful assessments of impacts to our business.
Analyze customer-based data, financial data, demand trends, and industry dynamics to identify and action new pricing initiatives.
Lead the execution of promotions during key selling periods as an expert resource to cross-functional partners – including pricing partners in other functions, marketing planning, product management, customer base, marketing communications, channel marketing, finance, and customer care.
Support pricing proposals with robust business cases.
Ensure development and maintenance of pricing tools (pricing grid, offer results/uptake, competitive grid, etc)
Leads analysis to assess program effectiveness and suggest opportunities for program improvements.
What you bring:
5+ years in a pricing/marketing/strategy function
Undergraduate Degree in a relevant discipline, MBA/Graduate preferred
Experience in telecommunications/connected home an asset
Experience defending a proposal while presenting to senior leaders
Very strong analytical and presentation skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Comfortable meeting deadlines in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
Able to build relationships across the organization
A deep understanding of recurring revenue businesses
