Reporting to the Senior Manager, Toronto Programming, Windsor Content and Ontario Development, you plan and organize the production of all audio and visual content in the field, studios, newsroom and Radio-Canada facilities serving central and southwestern Ontario (Toronto and Windsor stations).
You assist management in achieving our objectives by providing specialized technical and production guidance to program and content areas, with continued focus on leading change, motivating staff, continuous improvement, and lean and agile principles. You collaborate with stakeholders and management to conceive, analyze and develop production methods and processes for meeting established content production requirements. You are responsible for ensuring work adheres to CBC/Radio-Canada journalistic and program policies, standards and practices. There is wide latitude for initiative, independent judgment and creativity. There is a regular and ongoing requirement to oversee and coordinate the work of others.

Schedule, coordinate, assign and check the work of operations personnel, production resources, vehicles and facilities in order to meet established objectives and overall budget targets; help set priorities and balance competing production and business requirements within budgetary restrictions and production deadlines.
Assert leadership and guide the newsroom, field crews, studio production and support staff in the Toronto and Windsor markets to develop workflows and means by which to best implement field, studio, facility and newsroom technology.
Identify and approve training initiatives to meet staff needs and production requirements; implement and/or participate in the implementation of technical training for all production personnel as delegated by management.
Advise, assist and collaborate with engineers, technologists, and Production Services leadership to ensure production systems are kept in proper working order and production personnel receive proper and adequate technological support.
