Noovo is creating a news service for TV and digital offering a new voice to Quebecers with a modern tone and format. We are looking for French language Media professionals to join our expert team of producers, journalists, editors, technicians. We will focus on bringing an exciting new voice to daily news for Quebecers and want to inform Quebecers in a different way; more in tune with today’s consumer habits.

Manage the technical team across multiple locations
Coordinate feed recording and live events to ensure quality control of audio and video signals
Coach and support production staff on their technical abilities by showing them best practices
Coordinate and keep track of technical equipment (cameras, tripods, etc.)
Negotiate and organize equipment rentals and set rentals for TV shoots

Technical training or adequate diploma relative to the role.
Minimum of seven years of experience in a similar role, including five in technical production and management for newscasts.

Skills Required:
Excellent understanding of news media locally and internationally
Good knowledge and understanding of various technological equipment
Demonstrate interest for new media practices, digital formats, video, and storytelling techniques including gonzo-style journalism.
Good editorial judgment.
Proven organizational skills and management on tight deadlines.
Capacity to adapt to new and emerging technologies.
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Avid and Velocity, an asset.
Knowledge of Overdrive technology, an asset.
Knowledge of iNews, an asset.
Valid driver’s permit in good standing.

Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
