Marketing and Digital Assistant

Gusto Worldwide Media is the world’s leading producer, distributor, and broadcaster of high-quality food and cooking content available for both television and digital platforms. We are currently hiring a Marketing and Digital Assistant to join our busy Ottawa office.

The Marketing and Digital Assistant is responsible for supporting the marketing team with deliverables and branding initiatives. Candidates must have experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite and have a high attention to detail.


  • Draft program descriptions (series and episodic), and biographies
  • Create graphics for websites, social media, and e-marketing campaigns
  • Update and websites, and support social media co-ordinator
  • Participate in research & brainstorming sessions around digital marketing
  • Prepare social media assets for optimal performance (e.g., cropping photos, creating eye-catching thumbnails, following naming conventions, adding cards and end tags to YouTube content, etc.)
  • Design and create promotional materials (one-pagers, web banners, press kits etc.)
  • Monitor press related to Gusto Worldwide Media and talent
  • Assist production managers as needed
  • Assist with photoshoots (coordination and on-site)
  • Assist in planning events
  • Research promotional items for branding opportunities
  • Research awards
  • Administrative, office support, and other related duties as assigned


  • Post-Secondary education in communications or marketing
  • Graphic design experience
  • Experience managing WordPress websites
  • Strong communications and organization skills
  • Knowledge of email marketing, specifically Constant Contact and Mailchimp
  • Must have experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of and passion for food
