We are looking for an experienced tax professional to join our team.
The Manager, Corporate Tax role is part of the senior leadership team and reports directly to the Secretary & Treasurer of the Bragg Group. The role is based in Halifax, NS and you will be primarily responsible for managing the income tax aspects of our group including planning, compliance, audit coordination and cross border issues and reporting. You will also work directly in support of our accounting teams through preparation of tax provisions. As part of the team, you will also be involved with our operational teams in commodity and sales tax issues, M&A reviews and other planning initiatives.
You are an experienced corporate tax practitioner with a professional accounting designation and the CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course. Exposure to US tax rules and compliance would be an asset.
Organizational skills, hands on approach, attention to detail, energy and interest in learning about our businesses are key in this role. You must have a problem solving mindset and the drive to proactively respond to emerging business needs in a collaborative manner. You know to how research issues and communicate effectively to advisors and management.
