You will be recognized for :
Preparing legal and administrative proceedings and summonses ;
Preparing tables of points and authorities ;
Communicating with bailiffs, as needed ;
Tracking deadlines and managing the agenda on a daily basis ;
Opening, tracking and organizing files, filing them electronically and in hard copy ;
Organizing preparatory meetings and working meetings ;
Following up with administrative tribunals (hearing dates, bills for arbitration fees, etc.) ;
Communicating with internal clients and following up on files ;
Performing administrative duties related to the position, including handling bills from outside counsel ;
Producing a biweekly report.
What you bring to the table
Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in office automation ;
Minimum 5 years of experience with a law firm ;
Ability to handle a high volume of work ;
Familiarity with labour litigation ;
Familiarity with civil litigation (an asset) ;
Good command of Word, Excel and Outlook ;
Ability to manage priorities ;
Well organized, a self-starter, independent, discreet, diplomatic ;
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-changing environment ;
Bilingual, spoken and written.
