Integrated Playout Operator – Rogers

As an Integrated Playout Operator reporting in to the Manager of On-Air Operations, your role within Rogers is to ensure top quality delivery of the Sportsnet broadcast experience to viewers. This is a key role in broadcast operations and the successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the Master Control output of all Sportsnet channels. This is a temporary 6 month contract.


Management of the outgoing broadcast signals for Sportsnet.
Monitor & maintain all audio & video broadcast signals. (Quality Control)
Routing feeds & sources for air.
Adhere to all broadcast policies & procedures internal (Sportsnet) or external (CRTC).
Working with Programming, Client Services, and Production on planning & problem solving.
Provide clear reporting on any faults or deviations of the work flow or equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

At least three (3) years’ experience in a broadcast environment or similar.
Experience in a fast paced network broadcast environment.
Knowledge of HD-SDI video, 4K & 5.1 audio monitoring.
Must be able to work well under the pressures of multiple live events in a multi-channel environment.
Good written and oral communications skills.
Post-secondary education in broadcasting or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Shift work will be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Imagine Automation.
Experience in a Video Server based environment.
