About the Role:
Global News is looking for a creative, engaging leader for our network morning show.The position of Executive Producer, The Morning Show and Lifestyle, will report to the Director of Network Programming and be responsible for leading a high functioning team focusing on all facets of producing award winning lifestyle oriented television and digital video segments.
Work with the Director of Network Programming to develop and execute a winning strategy for The Morning Show
Responsible for the overall look, tone and on air feel of the broadcast
Will oversee on air hosts and contributors
Will work closely with the TMS Managing Editor to establish editorial strategy and expectations as well as team workflows for the TV broadcast as well as the shows’ contributions to globalnews.ca
Work with sales to find new and innovative ways to drive revenue
Work with the National Director, Content and Editorial Standards in how we cover stories and topics
Work with the Editor in Chief and TMS Managing Editor to help create a winning online strategy for lifestyle and TMS
Must be a strong team leader, mentor and be able to support employee development.
What We Need From You:
Exhibit editorial leadership to help drive ratings and revenue.
Have the ability to establish team metrics to help inform change and drive business and personal success for team members
Have a proven track record of producing and overseeing daytime television lifestyle programs
Thrive in a fast paced energetic environment of leading people to produce high quality content
If You Have the Following….We Want to Hear From You!
At least 10 years’ experience working at a media network
At least 10 years’ experience of working in daytime television in Canada
An ability to help shape high quality lifestyle oriented television content
An understanding of a winning lifestyle strategy for digital platforms
