The Bell Media team creates and delivers the best Canadian and international content across our digital media, television, radio, and out-of-home advertising platforms. Bell Media is seeking a dynamic, communications professional with a passion for entertainment, news and sports to lead publicity campaigns for Bell Media’s French-language brands on specialty, radio, digital, and radio platforms. Reporting to the Vice-President, Communications, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Effectively coaching and motivating a high-performing communications team
Drafting strategic and proactive communications plans to grow Bell Media audiences and subscribers and overseeing communications materials
Working with the Senior Management group to establish programming priorities as well as provide crisis communications and executive support
Maintaining and developing strong working relationships with key media and content creators in Québec
Working collaboratively with English-language media counterpart to align strategy and process
Liaising with Corporate Communications on key issues and projects
Leading the creation and execution of live events and industry partnerships
Working with internal and external talent and producers to promote them and their programs across Québec and Canada
Implementing strategic measurement processes to evaluate the success of communications plans
Monitoring and managing issues/mitigate risks related to content or programming and ensure proper social media moderation
Developing and maintaining the department’s annual budget and track on-going expenditures
Other duties as reasonably required
Providing team leadership on an ongoing basis (performance planning and assessment, career management) with a focus on coaching, mentoring and on-going performance
Providing support to managers to ensure department is operating effectively and efficiently from a people leadership perspective

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
You have a university degree and/or diploma in communications with 10-15 years in media or entertainment publicity
Established contacts with Québec’s Entertainment and Trade Press and a strong understanding of social media
With a proven track record for innovative communications strategies, you have demonstrable experience in a senior management role
Exceptional leadership skills with experience in coaching and leading teams to deliver high performance
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate to the senior executive team
With strong organizational skills, you have the ability to take initiative, prioritize, and multi-task while leading independently
Ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail
Exemplary interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy
Exceptional communication skills, with written and verbal fluency in French and English
