About the Role:

Corus Entertainment is looking for a Director of Programming to lead the content and scheduling strategy across our portfolio of premium Kids linear networks digital platforms. Reporting to the VP of Programming, you will be responsible for managing a high-performing team to derive strategies that drive audience growth across the Corus Kids services.

Responsibilities:

Direct and oversee content scheduling and program planning that maximizes program rights and drives viewership

Manage and support a team comprised a Programmers to evaluate content opportunities, audience data and trends to create and implement network schedules

that drive viewer engagement and ensure a quality brand presentation

Build and maintain strong relationships with content partners across the Kids brands, while overseeing, tracking and monitoring output deals, content pitches and acquisitions

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the scheduling team and linear platforms ensuring a quality brand presentation across the brands and platforms

Be a resident expert on kids content and understand viewership trends across all platforms to be able to identify and recommend new opportunities

Represent Kids programming and work with internal departments to ensure all areas of the business

Stay current with industry trends, new and emerging products, best practices and be an in-house expert on kids content
Be a thought-leader on media consumption across all platforms, and trusted advisor within the Programming team and across the organization

About You

What We Need From You:

Passionate about TV and content with experience in Program Scheduling

6+ years of experience managing and fostering a high performing teams in the media/entertainment industry

Ability to build strong relationships and partnerships both internally and externally

Proficient in analyzing audience data and deriving actionable insights

Solution-oriented, highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
