What will your role be?
Are you a seasoned team leader with experience developing digital products? Interested in managing an ambitious product portfolio and meeting the organizational challenges of a growing team? Then this opportunity is for you!
As a member of the Digital Media team reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Strategy and Creative Services, you lead a team of product managers in evolving the digital product portfolio and play a key role in implementing the company’s business strategies.
You work closely with Strategy, Data, Innovation, Design, Content, Technology and Project Management experts to help build productive, cohesive product teams. You guide teams in creating compelling digital experiences. You develop strong relationships with the business units tied to your product portfolio (TV, radio, etc.) and other key partners within the organization (Marketing and Communications, Media Solutions, etc.).
Working in tandem with your associate, with whom you jointly oversee the full range of digital products, you will ensure the development of product management practices within the organization.
1/ Managing a digital product portfolio
Evolve the vision and roadmap for the products included in your management portfolio, ensuring that a strategic planning process and ongoing monitoring are in place
Set objectives, prioritize key initiatives and establish performance indicators for each portfolio product
Support the definition of delivery schedules and backlogs, and facilitate execution by resolving issues and challenges affecting product teams and project stakeholders
Promote a user-centric product culture by encouraging research, experimentation and data analysis practices
Provide the various departments with visibility on each product’s evolution and performance; enable the necessary discussions and negotiations to ensure a common understanding and alignment of roadmaps
Ensure the health and continuous improvement of product teams (workflows, tools, activities) to promote a harmonious, productive work environment
Monitor your products’ markets and the latest digital trends to help drive discussions and action plans
2/ Personnel management and product management practices
Guide product managers in their roles and responsibilities, helping them grow through coaching and mentoring
Set individual and group development objectives, proposing in-house and external solutions to achieve them
Develop and engage the product management practices community, promoting the sharing of in house and industry best practices
Act as an ambassador for product management and agile practices within the organization

Strong presentation skills along with the ability to communicate effectively and make complex information understandable to all levels of an organization
Practical knowledge in implementing product discovery and experimentation approaches (design sprints, growth hacking, user testing, a/b testing, etc.) resulting in the delivery of great product experiences
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
University degree in technology, software engineering, business management or other related training
Ten or more years’ product management experience, including at least five as a digital product team leader
Very good understanding of digital development trades and areas (business analysis, design, architecture and programming, quality assurance, accessibility, etc.) and good understanding of digital content and marketing.
Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
Digital experience in the media industry an asset
Superior French-language skills, spoken and written; English an asset to promote collaboration with bilingual teams
Flexibility to work remotely with teams based in Toronto and Montreal
Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
Please note that this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually.
