The Home Networking Operations team is responsible for developing technologies to drive an exceptional customer experience in the evolving home networking space. They will provide the highest tier of support for home networking at TELUS, and will spearhead complex root cause analysis in collaboration with our vendor partners.

You will become a subject matter expert in home networking technologies and be working directly with the manufacturers to uncover any defects in delivered products. You will use your growing knowledge of technologies, vendor plans, and industry trends to provide guidance on our data roadmap. You will work closely with both our product development team to ensure we capture and monitor all the appropriate KPI to provide insightful analysis of employee market trials.

Share data insights through visualization tools such as Tableau
Locate, interpret, and integrate new sources of standard and non-standard data to support ad-hoc analysis
Develop automated dashboards and data visualizations that provide insight into the progress of firmware and hardware deployment
Develop and set up analytical tools and platforms to enable tracking and testing a products performance
Identify and analyze the root causes of performance breakdowns or inefficiencies and recommend solutions
Identify impairment signatures and defining thresholds
Apply your data presentation skills in order to make insights available in meaningful ways to key stakeholders
Act as Subject Matter Expert when engaging with both internal stakeholders and external vendors/partners

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

Experience (3+ years) in an engineering, data science, analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, business intelligence field or similar quantitative field desired
Experience in cleaning, analyzing and presenting data in clear, understandable and interpretable forms to audiences of varied technical expertise
Known for your business analytical skills, data warehousing, predictive modeling and analysis
Ability to own your modeling work from model development all the way to production deployment and beyond with minimal help from engineers
A deep theoretical understanding of modern machine learning algorithms, statistical models, or optimization
Extensive experience with data centric tools and languages such as Python, SAS, SQL etc. and strong skills in data analysis and data visualization such as Tableau
Strong demonstrable knowledge of relational databases and querying using SQL or scripting, e.g. Oracle, Hive or SQL Server
Translate business requirements into data specifications, share data insights through visualization tools such as Tableau
Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and their tools such as autoML
Strong verbal and written communication skills
3-5 years of technical engineering experience
University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent


Familiarity with network and Wi-Fi standards and their data points.
