Radio-Canada Rimouski is looking for reporters based in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region who will be assigned primarily to produce content for all Radio-Canada platforms (digital, radio, TV). Reporters will write articles and file stories for News and Current Affairs in accordance with corporate standards and policies.

Please note these are casual, on-call, part-time opportunities and shifts may include being assigned to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights and weekends.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Three (3) years’ journalism experience
Any combination of education and experience will be considered
Extensive general knowledge
Excellent knowledge of regional, provincial and national affairs
Good knowledge of the Bas-Saint-Laurent region and its players a major asset
Solid command of writing and story research techniques
Solid command of the working language (French); very good knowledge of the other official language (English) an asset
Good communication skills
Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices
Good knowledge of IT and social media
Interest in and aptitude for learning new tools
Ability to thrive in a team environment while being self-starting and resourceful
Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines
Willingness to work flexible, irregular hours depending on the assignment
Valid driver’s licence
